Nollywood actor Clinton Joshua has opened up on why he does not take on kissing roles in Nollywood movies.

Abia Radio News reports that in an interview with TVC, Joshua said his decision is based on how he wants his career to grow and the kind of roles he hopes to continue getting.

He explained that if he becomes known for doing such scenes well, filmmakers may keep giving him similar roles repeatedly, which he wants to avoid. According to him, he is careful about the direction of his acting career and the image he builds on screen.

“If I’m good at it, producers will likely give me the same role over and over again and I don’t want to kiss half the girls in Nollywood”, he said.

In other news, Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has opined that passionate kissing and hugging scenes in Nollywood are no different from any other scenes in a movie.

Abia Radio News reports that Etinosa made this known during an interview with Punch.

While speaking on the growing conversation about how intimacy scenes are handled in Nollywood, Etinosa stated that, as a professional actor, one should be able to enter a character and come out of it easily.

The thespian added that she does not feel anything during intimacy scenes.

She said, “Intimacy scenes in Nollywood are like any other scenes. Once the director says “cut,” everyone is normal.”
